Ken came in as our Lead Pastor in 1999. He would love to meet you when you visit West E. Free Church. A graduate of Dallas Seminary with a Masters in Theology and Doctorate in Ministry, God has gifted Ken in preaching and applying scriptural principles to everyday life.

Greg is originally from Wichita and spent over a decade serving in churches in Illinois and Wisconsin before he came home to Wichita and to West E. Free in 2006. He received his Master’s degree in Religious Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He believes firmly to his core that “ministry happens in the context of relationships,” and he is committed to helping people grow in their walk with Christ.

Adam is originally from Wichita, and spent his first eight years of ministry serving in churches in Kansas and Oklahoma, before joining the staff at WEFC in 2014. He and his wife Meagan have two children, Elijah, and Iva Grace. Adam has a passion for worship and  believes that God moves in powerful ways when His people come together in corporate worship. 

Joe was born and raised in Metro Detroit before going to Bethel University in Indiana where he met his now wife, Keri. Joe and Keri moved to Houston, Texas where they served the Kingdom there for 9 years and during that time had their 4 children, Kinsley, Zoe, Teigan, and Cael. Joe joined our staff in 2023, and he has a passion to see the Church empowered to live out the Great Commission in their daily lives until we see that there is no place left where the gospel has not been proclaimed.

Jen is a native Floridian, but traded the Sunshine State for the Sunflower State in 2004. She and her husband, Patrick, and their oldest son started attending West in 2006 after moving to the west side. Since then they have added three more kids to their family and have participated in many ministries at West. Jen loves cookies, creating pretty things,  laughing, and singing loudly in her car.

Leslie is married to Frank and together they have four children; Tyler, Kora, Micah and Henry.  Leslie loves being outdoors and runs on lots of coffee.  Leslie has been in children’s ministry leadership in Wichita since 2007 and joined WEFC in 2019.  She can’t remember a time that she was not serving in kids ministry.  She loves partnering with parents to grow and develop a child’s faith by developing programming that is fun and Christ centered and geared to what phase of life they are in.

Deanna is originally from Wichita, but spent almost 30 years traveling around the world as an Air Force spouse before returning home in 2018.  She and her husband, Steve, have four children each living or going to college in different states.  Deanna is excited to have found WEFC and to be a part of students coming to know Christ and grow deeper in their walk with Him.

Jessica has attended WEFC since she moved to Wichita in 2011. She met her husband, Kyle, in life group at West and they have one daughter, Mae. Jessica taught elementary school for 12 years before joining staff as the Worship Admin in 2023. Jessica and her husband have both enjoyed serving in youth and young adult ministries at West and love calling it their church home. 

Kristen was born and raised in Wichita. She and her husband, David, along with their children, Morgan and Madison, started attending WEFC in 2014. WEFC just felt like home. She has been involved in many ministries here at WEFC, but her passion is singing for the Lord and she loves being on the worship team and working with students on our Elevate youth worship team. It brings her joy to make people laugh and she is humbled to be used by God to further His kingdom.

Bethany was born and raised in Colwich, KS and has attended West since 2019. She enjoys being outside, a good book, and spending time with friends and family. She was raised in the church and around student and kids' ministry her whole life. The early childhood years are her favorite with all the curiosity that comes at this time of life. She is so excited to be a part of this team and come alongside the families here at West as they take on the unique challenges and blessings that come with parenthood.

Craig and his wife Sherry met and married in Missouri and have been residents of Wichita since 1986. The first 25 years were spent serving at a local Baptist church. They started attending West in 2011. They both enjoy serving others and began volunteering at West. Craig joined the ministry staff in 2018 as the Facilities Coordinator. The Porters' daughter, Kiley, and her husband, Andrew Schmidt, live in Omaha, Nebraska and their daughter, Kambry, her husband, Jeremy Milford, and their son Levi live in Wichita. West is a great place to serve and grow in the knowledge of the Lord.
